Foodways pt2: Berries + Wild Game

Join us for our Foodways workshops! This 2-part hands-on train-the-trainer series provides traditional teachings while also walking participants through recipe development and food prep during each session.

These online interactive sessions are for:

  • First Nations, Métis, Inuit peoples interested in learning hands-on food skills and traditional teachings to then share with their communities

  • Co-op members or volunteers wanting to host workshops and learn skills to teach others

  • Organizations who host food workshops, seeking to incorporate traditional foods

  • Individuals interested in learning more about traditional food preparation methods

  • Community members in using traditional methods looking to incorporate regional foods (especially if you're based in Northwest ON and are in ordering range of our #LFFCmember AgriTech North in Dryden!)

Workshop 2: Berries and wild game (Friday October 14th, morning)

  • Preparing blueberry crisp, including teachings around blueberries, blueberry leather methods.

  • Preparing wild game or beef stew with complimentary vegetable-based local food side dishes

This workshop series is led by our Indigenous Relations Coordinator, Arlene Meekis-Jung.
