Building relationships with Indigenous communities as a settler-based organization comes with important responsibilities. There are actions that we all can take to uplift Indigenous voices, and to further our support of Indigenous peoples throughout the province and nation as a whole.

Here at LFFC we stand in solidarity with our Indigenous colleagues, partners, members, associates and friends. We continue to work in allyship with many nations and part of this work is in recognizing whose land we reside on, taking steps to call on our government to uphold the treaties, the agreements they’ve signed on to.
If you are a settler, please consider the following links to educate yourself in some of the actions you can do. Colonization is not a legacy of the past, it is ongoing and present in today’s society and it affects all of us when intentional or unintentional harm comes to Indigenous communities.
