“Teal” Organizations, Sociocracy & Worker Self-Management
Join us for our next training session for our online course: Leveraging Your People Power. Hosted by Q3 instructor + Communications Coordinator Michelle, this session “’Teal’ Organizations, Sociocracy & Worker Self-Management” will address the future of organizational management, what these different organizational structures are and their implications for the local food, farm and coop sector. In this session we will:

Each online course includes:
Access to the Pollinators of Change peer-to-peer online network
A 10-month online course with downloadable materials, tools, templates, resources and exercises for your team
Guest speakers and co-facilitation from food/farm/co-op experts
Small group peer sessions to learn with others at your stage of development
Ecosystem based relationship building to help you identify key organizations, funding opportunities and partners in the local food and farming sector best suited to your needs
Weekly online engagement and monthly live Zoom sessions
Limited spots available and limited subsidies available for those facing financial barriers to participation.
Foodways pt2: Berries + Wild Game
Learn hands on cooking skills and traditional teachings about how to creatively utilize local, regional foods
Foodways pt1: Fish + Baby Food
Join us for our Foodways workshops! This 2-part hands-on train-the-trainer series provides traditional teachings while also walking participants through recipe development and food prep during each session.
These online interactive sessions are for:
First Nations, Métis, Inuit peoples interested in learning hands-on food skills and traditional teachings to then share with their communities
Co-op members or volunteers wanting to host workshops and learn skills to teach others
Organizations who host food workshops, seeking to incorporate traditional foods
Individuals interested in learning more about traditional food preparation methods
Community members in using traditional methods looking to incorporate regional foods (especially if you're based in Northwest ON and are in ordering range of our #LFFCmember AgriTech North in Dryden!)
Workshop 1: Fish and baby food (Thursday October 13th, afternoon)
Preparing local fish and salad dishes while discussing the importance of fishing in traditional culture
Preparing healthy, safe, whole food baby food, incorporating local flavours and fresh ingredients, the use of bone broths and fish broths for baby food supplement

Packaging and Labeling your Products for the Market
Are you looking to scale up and bring your products to market but don't know where to start when it comes to labeling and packaging?
Join us for our upcoming workshop on packaging and labeling your products for market in collaboration with Northern Foodways Development Network, 807 Food Co-op, Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre and LFFC. The workshop will provide local growers, producers and processors with a hands-on workshop on the information and requirements of packaging and labeling your products for market outlined by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
